Ned Watson(Founder, Chief Information Officer)
Ned is the founder of 1080d. He is responsible for determining technology integration and system implementation. Ned has consulted for Fortune 500 companies along with supporting individuals and small businesses. He shares his knowledge, techniques and vision with 1080d members and clients.
Ned has been developing websites for 15 years and has been using PHP for 8 years. Recently he has been focused on developing interfaces and has taken a great liking to jQuery. Ned has many years of database experience and helped typeset his Father’s Data Management textbook.
Ned studied Japanese and Management Information Systems at the University of Georgia. He also went to the Kyoto University of Foreign Studies after spending time studying in Tokyo. He spends his time between Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Fukuoka, Japan.
Ryan Travis(Associate Web Developer)
Ryan is an Associate Web Developer for 1080d and is an expert on Content Management Systems, including WordPress and Joomla. Ryan also has obtained a Certificate in Web Development from Boston University. He excels at HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL and has an appreciation for clean design, functionality and well-written code. Ryan also enjoys handling client relations and training clients in the use of Content Management Systems.
Ryan is a committed to staying up to date on web technologies and does so by constantly adding books to his collection and by attending web developer events.
Ryan enjoys building his own computers, and over-clocking, benchmarking, and tweaking them to achieve maximum performance. In addition, Ryan is a history buff, and is particularly interested in the American early colonial period.
Troy Siedsma(Chief Technology Officer)
Troy manages all of our servers and internal infrastructure. The systems he implements and manages are the basis of supporting our customers. He takes care of our hosting, databases, subversion repositories, and communication systems. Troy also programs in PHP and loves hooking up with data models.
Troy is the owner of Lithium Hosting and Integrity Computers. He has many years of experience setting up and maintaining servers for businesses around Des Moines and all over the United States. He is a master of both Windows and Linux environments.
A big gadget freak, Troy is likely to be connected at all times through 3G networks, wifi, T1s, Sirius XM Radio, plastic cups tied together with string, pocket mirrors and even homing pigeons.
Andrew Price(General Counsel)
Andrew is a native of the Palmetto State and currently resides in the East Village. He has a B.S. in Computer Science, an A.B. in Economics, and a Juris Doctor in Law from the University of Georgia. Andrew has since been admitted to the New York and District of Columbia bars.
Andrew is almost always equipped with his MacBook Pro and BlackBerry. He is always finding out new ways to network his gadgets and share information with others.
Andrew is an aviation buff and is a licensed private pilot, and he served as Graduate Advisor to the University of Georgia Flying Club.
Michiko
Michiko is our CSS specialist. She is responsible for taking deliveries and turning them into valid CSS/XHTML markup for our interface developers. Michiko previously worked as an e-commerce manager at Rakuten, Inc – Japan’s largest online retailer. Michiko is also in charge of Quality Control and is often looking over our work to find deficiencies.
Michiko enjoys Karaoke and all things French. She has traveled to many places and has many interesting stories about her adventures.
